Repair of the plotter display of liquid ingress

Description of the project

The main problems with the plotter that has been repaired are: liquid getting inside, there is no image, the sensor does not work, the screen glass is broken.

After opening and complete disassembly, corrosion of the connector of the display module and some other elements of the board was found, as well as damage to the connector of the inter-board cable.

After soldering the connectors on the board, restoring the conductors, replacing the board elements, the image appeared, the touchscreen started working. Also, after approval, it was decided to replace the display module with the original one. Since it has already been changed once and the touch presses did not work correctly.

• The board is laundered, soldered and will serve for a long time.
• The display module has been replaced with the original one.

It turned out to be almost new equipment – beautiful and reliable. But if the owner had tried to turn it on and use it after getting liquid, everything could have been much worse and more expensive.
